Eileen Noyer, MS, OTR/L

“My goal is to honor the communication style and interests of each child, so that I can foster experiences that build confidence, independence, and meaningful skills.”

Hello! My name is Eileen Noyer, and I am an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping children thrive by embracing who they are. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and empowered to participate in the activities that are meaningful to them. My approach is grounded in neuroaffirming, child-led practice, where connection, curiosity, and play form the foundation for growth.

I studied a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of Sydney, and then later studied a Masters of Advanced Occupational Therapy at LaTrobe University. Throughout my career, I have supported both children and adults with developmental and physical differences and disabilities. These experiences have shaped my understanding of each child's unique strengths while reinforcing the importance of collaboration with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams.

I have a special interest in sensory processing, self-regulation, handwriting, fine motor development, executive functioning, and supporting participation in everyday routines. Rather than focusing on compliance, I partner with children by following their interests, honoring their communication styles, and creating engaging experiences that build confidence, independence, and meaningful skills.

After working as an Occupational Therapist with adults who have physical disabilities, I managed a Day Program and Respite Program for Northcott in Australia, and then worked as a Case Manager for the Supported Living Services program with InAlliance, in Sacramento. These services were for adults with physical and developmental disabilities to work on their community access or self-care-related goals, or to live independently with 24/7 supports. I later worked as a Service Coordinator for Alta California Regional Center. Following this I spent six years at home raising my children. During those 6 years, I remained deeply involved in child development through regular classroom volunteering and individualized tutoring. Becoming a parent and volunteering in the classroom strengthened my passion for pediatric occupational therapy and deepened my appreciation for the vital role families play in a child's growth.

I value working alongside parents and caregivers, providing practical strategies that fit naturally into everyday life. I believe that meaningful progress happens when children are supported by the people who know and love them best.

When I’m not working with children and families, I enjoy watercolor and acrylic painting, doing home DIY projects, and spending time with my family outdoors.
