Welcome to The Learning Owl! I’m Ayobamibo “Bambi” Olujumu, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist , providing neuro-affirming, child-led occupational therapy services in-home and in clinic throughout the greater Los Angeles area, as well as virtual parent coaching across California.
From early on in my life, I felt deeply called to work with children and families in a way that honored both their strengths and their challenges. Over the years, I have come to understand how profoundly a child’s environment, sensory experiences, and relationships shape development. I have also witnessed firsthand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel for families navigating developmental concerns, feeding challenges, and a complex healthcare system. These experiences have fueled my passion for creating therapy spaces that feel safe, collaborative, and empowering—where families feel heard, supported, and confident in their role as their child’s greatest advocate.
My clinical background spans a variety of pediatric and community-based settings, including early intervention programs, schools, outpatient clinics, hospitals, and in-home therapy. I specialize in supporting infants, toddlers and early learners with sensory processing differences, regulation challenges, motor delays, and early feeding concerns, and I am completing advanced training in pediatric feeding through Feed The Peds and Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach . My approach is rooted in sensory integration principles, developmental play, and caregiver coaching, with a strong emphasis on building foundational skills that support engagement, communication, play, and daily routines.
I believe children should not be seen broken or problems to be fixed. I believe children show us exactly who they are and what they need when we take the time to slow down, observe, and listen. When we lead with patience, curiosity, and compassion, we create space for children to explore, take risks, and develop in ways that feel meaningful to them. Success, to me, is not about checking boxes or meeting rigid milestones—it is about supporting a child’s ability to feel safe in their body, connected to others, and motivated to engage with the world around them.
I feel deeply grateful for the families who trust me with their children and their stories. It is an honor to walk alongside them during such an important season of life, and I look forward to continuing to serve, learn, and grow within this beautiful community.
